To
bring about health awareness to the people in the region, Thumbay (GMC)
Hospital Dubai will be organizing a Free Mega Health Camp on Saturday the 21st
of February 2015 from 09.00 am to 04.00 pm.
A
team of Specialist Doctors, Consultants, Nurses and volunteers will conduct
free consultations and checkups in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, General
Surgery, Gynecology, Pediatrics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Dermatology,
Family Medicine, Urology, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, and Dental specialties.
In
addition to this, free Blood Pressure Checkup, Blood Sugar Checkup; BMI Checkup
will be carried out to create awareness about diabetes and hypertension which
has a high incidence in the region.
The
visitors will also be offered free medicines besides the 50% discount on
Laboratory and Radiology (X-ray, CT, Ultrasound etc.) investigations.
Patients can avail the Follow-up check-ups for free in the next 15 days.
As part of the hospital promotion free medicines, hospital brochures, health
packages, will be given to all the patients and visitors.
We
have been regularly conducting free health camps in our hospitals in Ajman,
Sharjah and Fujairah. This will be our first mega health camp in Thumbay
Hospital Dubai. We will make this an annual event, which is organized to create
awareness on various health issues. We always get overwhelming response for our
Free Health Camps, said Mr. Akbar Moideen, Director, Healthcare and Retail
Division of Thumbay Group UAE. He further added, that “As part of the corporate
social responsibility of Thumbay Group we would like to help the public with
free health camps every year, especially to those who do not have easy access
to healthcare as it is an expensive commodity in this country. A lot of
people across the UAE benefit from these camps”.
